All active members of the West Virginia State Bar are required to complete a minimum of 24 mandatory continuing legal education credit hours by June 30, 2016. These credits must be reported by July 31, 2016. At least three of the credits must be in legal ethics, law office management, substance abuse or the elimination of bias in the legal profession. Fifty minutes of an approved MCLE activity is equal to one credit, and up to 12 credits may be obtained by the use of CDs or DVDs. Individuals should keep private records of all continuing legal education activities attended to facilitate reporting.
MCLE approval can be requested in California, Colorado, Georgia, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and Wisconsin. Application forms for attorneys to obtain Pennsylvania credit are also available.
If you are a member of one of these Bars, please notify us when you register so we may assist you in complying with your MCLE boards.
